How we handle your information
This policy explains how Milners Automotive Repairs (“we”, “us”) handles your personal information. We are the data controller. You can reach us at [email protected], 01729 821058, or Unit 9, New Road, Sowarth Field Industrial Estate, Settle, North Yorkshire, BD24 9AG.
What we collect and why
When you request a service through our booking form, we collect the details you give us, your name, contact details, address, vehicle details and the service you need, so we can respond to your request, arrange the work and contact you about it. When you email, call or message us, we keep those details to reply and provide our service.
Website analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we collect information about how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are in the country, what device they use, and whether someone clicked through to our booking form. This is not used to identify you. Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses for UK visitors. If you do not accept, none of this is collected. The Analytics account is run by Castleberg Digital, who built and maintain this website, and the data is deleted after 14 months. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
Our lawful basis
We process this information to take steps at your request before providing a service, and for our legitimate interest in running the garage and responding to enquiries.
Who else is involved
Our booking form is provided by Jotform, which processes submissions on our behalf. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Customer reviews shown on the site are drawn from our Google Business Profile. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use this site. That account is run by Castleberg Digital, who built and maintain the website, and Milners sees a summary rather than the raw data. See our Cookie Policy for what it covers and how to change your choice. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job information only as long as we need it to provide our service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
